Lunnvale Family Farms - Belmont
This family farm is representative of the numerous mixed farms which settled the whole of north Malahide Township (formerly South Dorchester). A rich agricultural area, the soil supports the backbone of mainstream farming of mixed livestock and field crops.
Brian and Donna Lunn, and now with the next generation of Brad and Janine, operate this certified organic farm which recently has converted from dairy cows to grazing beef cattle and chickens.
The quilt block, “Chinese Puzzle”, illustrates the rich green and yellow of corn and crops in rows and fields that resemble a maze of colour.
